Yelverton Golf course is a delightful moorland course, designed by Herbert Fowler, who used the old mine working as natural hazards to challenge golfers of all standards.
It has outstanding views across Dartmoor and over Cornwall, and is a very natural course, with Dartmoor ponies sharing the fairways, and with abundant wild life all around.
The greens are fast and smooth and the course is a delight to play any time of year. The course drains well in the winter, and temporary greens and tees are only used during frosty conditions.
The course has been host to many top quality competitions, including the EGU Senior Amateur Championships in 2006, and it hosts the South West of England Open Winter Foursomes championships each year.
A traditional and charming clubhouse with fine food and a warm welcome ensures it will be a day to remember.
