Golf Course's own web site
Founded in 1904, originally owned by Napier Miles, part of the Kingsweston Estate, the course was bequeathed to the National Trust in 1918.

During the Second World War the course was reduced to 9 holes, the remainder being used as an Army Camp for United States troops. One hole is called "America" to this day. In June 1952, 18 holes were once again in play and the scars of war have disappeared.

Famous for its connection with Sea and Ships over the years, the course was used by officers and crews from ships docked at Avonmouth.

Situated some 5 miles along the Portway from the centre of Bristol and several hundred feet above the river, it would be difficult to find a more stunning setting. It has magnificent views across the River Avon, the Gordano Valley and the distant spires of Clifton.

The well timbered park is a delight to the eye at all seasons of the year. Although not a long course the undulating nature on the of the ground makes it is a good test of golf for players of all standards and visitors can expect a warm welcome in the Clubhouse where the view from the balcony over the 18th green provides a stunning backdrop to the 19th hole.
