Golf Course's own web site
The Chestfield Clubhouse, which dates back to the 15th century, is reputed to be the oldest building in the world being used as a golf club.

The most attractive part of the course is undoubtedly the area comprising the 1st and 18th holes, set in the centre of the village near the Oast House.

The most testing part of the course lies on Shrub Hill where superb sea views take the eye as far as the Essex coast on a clear day. The Club is well known for the excellent cuisine available whether it is a light snack in the bar or a delicious meal in the restaurant overlooking the 18th green.

It boasts a course that is an excellent test of golf with its undulating fairways and greens, coupled with magnificent views, all set in countryside worthy of a place in the Garden of England.

The Clubhouse was voted in the top ten 19th holes in the whole of Great Britain and Northern Ireland during a recent survey by WHYTE & MACKAY and it is easy to see why it is so popular as a venue for societies and green fees throughout the year.
